How do I seperate two xboxes linked together

I understand you need help with using different accounts.

Just a heads up, you can only have one Microsoft account on one Xbox profile so which means whatever your son is using, you are also sharing the same account.

The only way to separate them is that one of you should create their own account and use that on the other console to avoid using the same account at the same time on 2 Xbox consoles. Your progress cannot be transferred to another account so if you want that to stay, you can have your son create his own account.

If you have some games that he wants to play, you can just have your account set as home console on his Xbox so that his own account can play them.

No there will be no issues in doing that. However if you use two seperate consoles for your game you will need two copies of that game in order to play together.

That is not what the op is asking. And no, you can't play a system link game between two seperate consoles without two seperate copies of the game. And right now since the backwards compatibility hasn't been fully implemented so you can't do a system link
between the One and 360 anyway.

Op...your post puzzles me: how were you able play any Halo game with system link on two seperate consoles without two copies of the game?
