    How do I separate xbox from Microsoft account?


    I created an xbox account years ago, when my son was younger, and I guess it is tied to my Microsoft account. Now he is old enough to play xbox Live, but I've realized that I really want the xbox to be tied to HIM and not me... after changing the name on
    the xbox profile (to be shared with his Friends only), MY Surface now says his name!! How do I separate xbox from Microsoft account? :p I created a child account on Microsoft for him, but now I can't figure out how to push the xbox (but not the Microsoft) over to the child account. Help appreciated!!

    Xbox Play Anywhere games - Different account for XBL than PC

    How do I get Xbox Play Anywhere work for those of us with two accounts?

    I have a modern Microsoft account that I use for my Win 10 PC, Skype, Office, etc. But from back in the pre-MS account days, my XBL account was kept separate from anything I might do real work on (e.g. office, email, ...). So I have a different account that
    I use ONLY for Xbox Live.

    Once I buy a Play Anywhere game on my Xbox, how do I install it on my PC? Because it's a separate account, the Win10 store obviously believes I don't own the title. I can't find any way to sign in with an additional account on the Windows 10 store, nor can
    I find a way to install the game from the Xbox app on my PC. Note that the Xbox app itself does allow me to be signed in as my gamertag's separate account.

    How do I install the freaking game?

    So I'm getting divorced and my now ex husband and i have always shared one Xbox account attached to my Microsoft account, no issues. But I game very little and he wants to keep all his progress and saved data and downloaded games and everything. He wants
    to keep the Xbox Live account we've been using, but change it into his email. But doing that changes MY Microsoft account that i alsio use for work. Is there any way around this? To let HIM keep the Xbox Account without ME loosing MY Microsoft Account? Thanks!

    how do I separate my Microsoft account from a family group

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    If you’re already an adult you will be able to remove yourself from the family group by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/family. However, if you’re still a minor you really need to locate the organizer account where your account is linked to.

    I want to switch the email from my older more used account, to my newer email, but I cannot seem to do so, since a Xbox account has automatically been created. How can I delete the Xbox account from my new email, so I can use my new email to replace my old Xbox account? (This whole thing started with me not being able to sign into my EA account, cause my Xbox account was signed into an older email.)
    You cant. The Microsoft account IS the Xbox account. They are all one in the same.

    Unfortunately there is no way to separately delete your xbox account :(

    You would need to close your Microsoft account completely but that defeats the whole point
