How do I seen my friend online

I understand your question and may have the solution, Press the Xbox button to open the guide and select Contacts. You'll see which friends are online and how many of them are playing right now. Select the list of those who are online to see what they are doing, like playing games or watching Netflix.

I'm having issues that are not "Viewing backgrounds, channels, or slots from Xbox LIVE."

I can't play games online or really do anything but view my profile. I don't even seen online friends online.

I want to get online with my friend but we can't figure out how to play cooperatively. What can two friends working together do online? There aren't any missions or jobs that i can do with just my friend?

I've seen a few friends playing. How do I get it? Do I need a code?

Nowhere is the problem solved by myself, I turned on the Xbox and the friends I had offline even when they were online, so I've seen them online and what they do on Xbox.
