How do I see my game data on X|S

Hi,

I've been playing through starfield, and I recently completed the main quest line for constellation. I took about 23 hours to complete it was a huge achievement to be honest. So if you've played you'd know that the ending of this would result in you siding with either The Hunter or The Emissary. You then go to the temple and fight a bunch of starborn. Eventually kill The Hunter or The Emissary depending on who you sided with. After you finish the "boss fight" you collect the artifacts return to your armillary and place them in. You'll grav drive then bam! You're in the unity. You are given the choice to either go back or become starborn. I DIDN'T THINK IT MATTERED SO I WENT STARBORN. IT DOES MATTER A LOT!

So I play maybe 8ish hours as starborn and I want to go back to before I was starborn via saves. I open the menu go to saves then load and the only save I have before I was starfield was at level 7 with 4 hours in. At the time of writing this I am a level 27 and I am 1 day and 8 hours in. I refuse to do all of that again. I search up how to see my game data. My games and apps > See all > Game > Manage Game > Save data. I DO NOT WANT TO DELETE MY SAVE DATA I WANT TO SEE IT AND ACCESS IT! How do I access it!!! Is it just not possible?! I want to go back to before I was starborn and not have to do the entire game again thanks.

Based on the description, are trying to locate the game save data for the game through your Xbox console. Let us check and see on what we can do to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

The game saved data is automatically saved on the device hard drive and is automatically synched on the cloud when you are connected to Xbox network. Unfortunately, in game saved data on console, there is no option to go back at certain point of the game unlike in Window PC games that game saved data are stored locally and you can select the game saved through available files. While this is a good topic to discuss, we recommend to suggest this to the game developer support team so they have an option to go back within the game menu. to onyx62is- its a 250gb hhd bought with a bundle, its a xbox S . and yes i used the e68 steps but no dice.

to ellerem- the x box S is 4 years old and the hhd

my question is how do you connect to a computer? is their a guide for that?

so I connected the USB drive to my Series X and no issues at all. Which makes me think that either the series S is to weak to handle the data or has some internal limit of how many games to handle. In 2023, this is just ridiculous.

When I first launched the game on my Series S, it did the usual "agree with policy" and "user agreement" stuff. But nothing about save games or save data

After finishing a lot of the game, it would sync game data before loading to the main screen.

On my Series S, it would always do this.

But on my Series X, it did it once and never did it after that.

I'll try the Powercycle tricks and i'll let you know if it works.

Because on my Xbox series x, it only shows 'Optimized for series x/s' but if a xbox series x version of a game is NOT 'optimized' how would i know if I'm playing a series x/s version of a game?
