How do I restore a previous save file on an Xbox One game

Kindly perform these steps to force a re-sync of your cloud save data.

Make sure that you are connected to Xbox Live and that you are connected to a stable Internet connection so that it can properly communicate with the cloud servers.

And then exit and restart the game.

If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly delete the Local save data. Do this by pressing the Xbox button to open the guide and navigate to My games & apps. Highlight Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, press the Menu button, and select Manage game & add-ons.

Go to the Saved data tab. Select your profile’s local save data and choose to Delete it.

Unfortunately if you created a new save and saved over your previous save there isn't a way to recover it, as it would have replaced your cloud save as well. Really sorry to hear about the troubles and if you have any other Xbox support questions, feel free

Hello again Adam, this is weird, it may even be a Bug in the game instead of the console.

Have you tried uninstalling the game and installing again?

Unfortunately I’ve already tried that and didn’t have any luck, I’ve started again but the weird thing is I’m in a club and when I’ve hit a board or discovered a new road it brings it up at the bottom and says that I’ve compleated all the roads even though it’s made me start again.
