How do I reset or update a Xbox 1 controller on mobile?

I have a Xbox 1 controller that after fully charging started to act up on call of duty mobile like the button layout was changed but you can't change the layout so I was wandering if there is a way to try and update the controller via mobile device.

I understand you need help updating your controller.

Just a heads up, Xbox controllers can only be updated through PC and console.

I would suggest doing this on a PC so you can download the app and change the layout as well.

Thank you i will def try a hard reset, i def. know the controller is updated because i keep going to that option and hitting update lol, i will try a hard reset if that does not work, do you think it could be my controllers? because now my other sons headset
is not working on the xbox 1

Unfortunately, the hard reset did not help. I do not have the second controler, but the console is unmanageable even though I control it with a mobile application.

Sorry, no. Its still acting like switch 1 is profile 2 and profile 2 is 1.

I am still having this issue. I have performed hard reset. I have an unassigned controller I cannot remove linked to my Xbox, however I only have 1 controller which is assigned to me. I cannot update the controller and I cannot remove the unassigned controller.
What do I do?
