How do I reset my TV Remote Code

I manually entered my four digit code in settings for my new Vizio TV. I was unable to track down the exact code, instead all the documentation I found listed a few codes. So I thought I start with the first and work my way down. But after I manually entered
the first code and saw that it didn't work, XBOX no longer allows me to change the TV remote code. Any help or insights would be appreciated.

OneGuide won't change channels

I just found how to change my remote code for the cable box by going to settings>TV and OneGuide>troubleshooting>enter device remote code. I entered both codes, neither worked

Xbox remote resets tv

I use my Xbox to watch tv streamed from my windows 7 PC. I bought the Xbox remote control to control my tv and the Xbox. I have a 47 inch Philips tv and have connected my Xbox to it via hdmi. When I use the remote, it works both devices fine for a minute
or so. Then, the tv resets ( turns off and on again). A minute later it happens again. I took the remote back and got a Logitech harmony remote. The same thing happened! When I use the remote with the tv and my old cable box, I don't have any issues. It's
only when I use it with the xbox. When I use the Xbox and tv with the TV's remote and the Xbox controller, I don't have issues. So, why would a remote control cause the Xbox to reset the tv? How does that even happen? Any help, please??.

Go Onto Settings (Found under My games & apps)

Click 'TV & OneGuide Settings'

Click 'Devices'

Select Your TV Brand (available brands are: LG, Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Toshiba, VIZIO) Then click 'Next'

Click 'Automatic'

Click 'Send Command' and this shouuld mute your TV, If it does click 'Yes', If not click 'No'

If Clicked 'Yes' Skip to Point 9

If Clicked 'No' then it will try various signals to figure out your TV model, if this is still now working it will ask for you to enter your TV model manually.

Now click 'B' to go back to 'TV & OneGuide Settings' Then click 'Power Settings'

Select '"Xbox One" Turns on my devices' and '"Xbox turn off" Turns off my TV'

I have this exact problem as well. I just want it to forget the code altogether, but it won't let me select TV under "Device" in the "Device Power Options" menu.

In the new interface, go to Settings > TV & One Guide > Device Control.

Here you can get into the menu to enter a new TV Remote Code, or Remove TV like I wanted.

Program the media remote for your TV

Before your media remote can work with your television set, you need to program it for use with your particular brand of TV. There are two ways to program your media remote: manually entering your TV code or scanning to find your TV code.

Note After 30 seconds of inactivity, the media remote will exit the TV programming mode. Pressing any button besides Select, 0–9, or Channel Up/Down returns the media remote to its original mode and ends programming mode. Now, take the batteries out of the
remote for about 3 - 5 minutes to allow it to reset. From there replace the batteries in the remote and try the instruction that came with the remote (PDF). If that doesn't work then try to program the remote to a different tv to make sure the remote works
properly. Please just remember to program the remote within 9 seconds to prevent the

remote from resetting again in the middle of programming it.
