How do I remove my activity from a game?

I ran gears of war 2 on the Xbox Cloud Gaming (beta) through Chrome on my PC and after doing this my Xbox social constantly thinks I'm playing gears of war 2 even after exiting the game and restarting my PC multiple times. This is preventing me from playing games with friends as it thinks I'm playing another game and they can't invite me as it says im playing gears of war 2 all the time. How can I resolve this?

Thank you for the additional information mate. I appreciate it. Based on what you've tried just now, it's clearly an issue caused by the Cloud Gaming service. Our best option here is to report or send a feedback directly to Team Xbox who manage the Cloud Gaming service since it's still in beta and may run into some unexpected issue. Hey,

The reputation checker didn't do anything to my activity.

So I have figured out that when I play a game through the Xbox app on PC it still says I'm playing Gears of War 2 which then prevents me from receiving invites from friends and inviting them to play games etc. However, when I launch a different game on Xbox Cloud Gaming, Halo Infinite for example, it does change my activity to Halo Infinite and I can receive invites like normal, but once I exit the game it reverts my activity back to Gears of War 2...

The offline and online doesn't change anything unfortunately. It seems like it is a Xbox Cloud Gaming bug so I'm not really sure what i can do to fix the issue

Thanks for your help, I tried changing the password and it did nothing sadly

My friend also tried running Gears of War 2 and the same thing has happened so it feels like a specific issue to GoW 2. I have filled in a feedback form from the xbox.com/play website so hopefully they can look into the issue and sort it

Could you please try to play a different game via Xbox Cloud Gaming if it will update your activity status?

Alternatively, try to perform an account reputation check through https://account.live.com/reputationcheck. Once done verifying your account there, wait few minutes and check back your activity.

Please also try toggling your status to "Offline" by clicking "APPEAR OFFLINE" via the Xbox app on mobile then switch back to "Online" after few minutes.
