    How do I remove my account from old Xbox?


    Hey so I saw in my Xbox app that my ex bf has been messaging people on my account. I was signed in on his Xbox and didn’t think he’d mess with my account. But he is messaging people and I don’t want that. We have no contact with each other so I can’t ask him to sign out of it. I changed my account password and it said it wouldn’t sign out of devices. So I went and I selected “sign out all devices” but it said it excludes Xbox. I was reading another forum trying to find some kind of answer and someone had said to create a pin for my account. I don’t have an Xbox right now. I just have the app. So I can’t go in that way to add a pin. I’m very frustrated and would like to be able to have some control over my account.

    I got the same error also. I just got an xbox x and trying to share the account that was on my old xbox. Do I need to remove it from the old one?

    You don't, it's as simple as that.

    A Xbox account and a Microsoft account are one and the same thing, you would have been assigned a gamertag for the account the first time you visited an Xbox related site or app while logged in.
