How do I remove an uninstalled game from Xbox App?

Recently an uninstalled game has shown up in the XBox App. There are now uninstall options. I've done the whole uninstall, reset gaming services and xbox app.

There is a folder for this game and maybe that's why it keeps appearing. However, I've had a heck of a time trying to remove the folder. I've tried a number of ways to take ownership but the child folders and files aren't letting me take control.

There's got to be a way to remove this title from the app.

I could take ownership of the entire Windows App. I've done it before but it'll break a few things and maybe I can delete and reset gaming services and Xbox App again.

Before I do this, I'm seeing if there are other options that I haven't tried yet.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Oh, I see. May I know did you try to search the game too and check if there's an option to install it?

Let me explain this further. I'm sorry for the confusion. The game was successfully uninstalled however some remnants of the game files will be on the registry of your Xbox app where you can install the Xbox games from the Game Pass.

I thought there would be someone with experience that knew which registry key it was. Instead, I'll have to backup and test.

The game isn't installed. It's been uninstalled for months.

One day the shortcut for it started showing up in the Xbox App sidebar.

I would like to remove shortcut from sidebar. There was a folder leftover in WindowsApps that I was finally able to get rid of, but that didn't remove the shortcut from the Xbox App sidebar.
