How do I redownload Minecraft: Windows 10 edition?

I have ALREADY purchased the windows 10 edition of Minecraft bedrock edition, but deleted the game due to computer problems. I tried reinstalling the game but I cannot seem to find it anywhere? It makes me repurchase the game, but I already bought it. I used the same account I used to purchase the game, I even have Xbox achievements from playing the game. I already tried troubleshooters and other emails to see if that was the problem but couldn't resolve it. Any help?

Nilay here and I'm glad to answer your query today.

Please try this step by step:

Uninstall minecraft launcher and sign out from your Microsoft account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

Then do this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Finally do this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows + R key.

Step 2: Input WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a command prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, Windows Store will open.

Sign in again on both Xbox and Microsoft Store apps, download Minecraft launcher and try again.
(If installation doesn't start try leaving it couple minutes, or if possible 30 minutes. In some cases games install things in the background)

I bought the Windows 10 version of Minecraft by mistake, but the one I wanted was the java edition.

I saw that anyone who buys minecraft java edition is entitled to minecraft Windows 10. Is the reverse also true? Who buys minecraft windows 10 is entitled to minecraft java edition?

If so, how do I access the java edition version at no additional cost?
