    How do I redeem a code sent from Xbox via message which has expired?


    I received a message from Xbox with a code to redeem for content for Forza Horizon 3. At the time i received the message I didn't own the game but now I do. Can I somehow redeem that code now?

    holy snap! Redeeming codes from the xbox app

    Did you know that you can go on your windows 10 device and open up the message that xbox has sent you.

    They sent me gears of war codes, and all I had to do was hit "redeem" underneath.

    That is what I call great integration! I was about to copy and paste into the redeem site!

    Sorry to hear about the issue. Unfortunately, we are unable to reactivate or replace codes that have expired. We can only recover codes that have been sent to you via Xbox Live Messages. Once the code is expired, we have no way of renewing them or extending
    the expiration date. Going forward, it's highly recommended that you redeem your codes shortly after receiving them to ensure that your codes do not expire.

    Sincere apologies for any frustration or disappointment this may cause.

    Unable to redeem Youtube premium xbox game pass code.

    As stated above I received and email from youtube they had sent me an email to redeem xbox game pass for being a youtube premium member I used the email link and It took me right into the redeem screen which indicates the code has expired no more then 22hrs after the fact.

    It sounds like the message you received has expired as all Xbox Live messages expire after 28 days.

    However, a member of the Xbox Support team will be along soon and may be able to retrieve the code for you.

    In the future, remember to take a note of any codes sent to you via XBL message to ensure you don't lose them!

    The code I sent you can be redeemed
    here    . However, according to the
    terms of the promotion    , codes had to be redeemed by July 1, 2016 so I'm not sure how much success you'll have with it. If you have further questions regarding the promotion, you'll want to reach out Stan directly for further assistance.

    Unfortunately, since the code had an expiration date and was not redeemed in time, that would be up to you. We've all had it happened to us and just have to pay more attention to time limited codes.
    From halowaypoint.com:

    • How long do I have to redeem my free code for Halo 3: ODST Campaign?
    The original in-console message sent on June 1 has been purged from console inboxes. Codes are being resent on July 1 to those who have not yet redeemed their code. All distributed codes will be purged from the in-console message on July 31, 2015, but
    will still be redeemable. After July 31, users can contact the support forums support forum (http://xbx.lv/1Gwt1M0) for further assistance.

    So I should still be able to be sent the code and redeem it, no? I believe I qualified for it by playing the game on this tag in the two months after launch...
