How do i recover my minecraft account

Do you think I could have the cape moved to another account I own? I hate seeing it go to waste on an account that can't even be used.

Just to clarify, were you using the Java Edition of Minecraft back then? If so, did you successfully migrate your Mojang account to a Microsoft account?

If not, please note that Mojang accounts were required to migrate to Microsoft accounts starting in 2020, and the migration period officially ended in 2023. If you missed your chance migrating, you may need to repurchase the game and this time, you need to use a Microsoft account.

If you did migrate and still using the same PC, you can try checking your Microsoft accounts by going to: PC settings > Accounts > Email & accounts. This might help you identify which account was used.

Since your Mojang account was already migrated to a Microsoft account, you really have to recover the Microsoft account itself and Minecraft support won't be able to assist with that. Since you mentioned that your email was changed, you cannot use your original email address to recover the account. You need to know the current email or the hacker's email that was used to replace your account email in order to begin the recovery. Without it, unfortunately, we cannot start the recovery process.

You can try all the emails you remember or if you had a phone number attached to the account, you can use that too.
Sadly, an account cannot be recovered with the gamertag alone.
