How do I recover an old profile, that takes into account I only used it for playing games...

Hi steeledwand7664. I contacted Microsoft concerning their escalations team and was told this was only an option for customers with hacked accounts. I despair but a much appreciated suggestion. Thanks.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are attempting to recover the password for one of your accounts.
You mentioned completing an account recover. Are you referring to the form that you fill out which asks for your account and console information? If you are referring to this form, you can only continue to fill it out and wait for a response. The Xbox
Support Team cannot assist you with recovering a lost password. We have
a support article that explains how to recover your password or change it on different devices. You can choose the device that you wish to start recovering the password on and complete the process. Be sure to let us know the results!

Hi choppyseize, I can access the form but even with the help of the Microsoft support team I just get the "submit new form" email message. Thanks anyway.

If you filled out the form and got the email that said that you did not provide enough information and still have a console that had that profile on it at one point in time you can contact xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us and give them
some information that they will send up to their escalations team and if it is enough information they would be able to send you an email with a password reset link in it.

This will only work though if you have a console that the account has been on previously.
