    How do I record in 1080p


    I have an Xbox 1S, and can both play and stream games at 1080p and 60fps. However, there is no way to record at more then 720p. Streaming is now higher resolution then recording. Shouldn't it be the other way around? And
    is microsoft won't do anything, then please stop having the nerve to call 720p "high quality." It's 2017, I paid a lot of money for the best console, i'm not forking out another $200 for an Elgato.

    So i have Xbox One X and 1080p TV

    I want to record 60 FPS mp4 to an external usb drive which i have

    BUT! all recording are only 1080p 30fps despite news which say that i can record 4k 60fps

    i want 60fps on 1080p

    how to do it?

    I just want to know what resolution does the Xbox app on windows 10 record game clips in? like 1080p 60 fps? I am playing in 1080p 60 fps on my laptop and I want to record my game that I am playing with the xbox game capture. I have tried 3rd party software
    but to play and record and stuff at the same time on my laptop doesn't do too well. please help.

    Yeah recording at 720p works just fine but I’m trying to save clips at 1080p for videos but before I was able too record at 1080p normally.

    "XBOX record that" only recording 1 second clips??

    The hard drive isn't big enough for good 1080p recordings.

    I guess unless it is doing it in the cloud but still.

    The others are right. Microsoft implemented a fix where clips that do not record in 4K will record in 1080p instead. They'll probably fix it very fast as everyone with a XB1X is affected.
