How Do I record a video capture?

I have been recording full hd clips for quite sometime as I bought a new Xbox with 1TB hard drive, the following information is incorrect at this time, all of the sudden the screen capture area has been swapped with only options to record What Has Happened,
while meanwhile I need to start recording from that point, the following option "Record From Now" has been totally removed so therefore I now have no way of recording gameplay as I have no use for "Record What Has Happened".

To capture what just happened:

Start your game and play as usual.

When something cool happens and you want to record it, press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then press the X button to grab the last 30 seconds.

To capture a screenshot instead, press the Y button instead of the X button .

Note The screenshot is taken when you press the Xbox button . Pressing the Y button saves it.

To capture what's going to happen next:

Start your game. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Press the View button , and then select Record from now. Depending on your game clip resolution and available storage space, clips can last up to 10 minutes (capturing to internal storage) or 1 hour (capturing to external
storage).

To end the clip, open the guide and press the X button . You'll get a message when your clip is saved.

To see your captures, select Manage captures. Select any capture to see what you can do with it.

To set your clip resolution and capture location, press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then go to Broadcast & capture > Advanced settings.

Note Saving and sharing screenshots requires Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If you don’t have a subscription, you can take screenshots on another home Xbox as long as someone with Xbox Live Gold is signed in. For more info, see Using

There are several ways to record videos, there are applications, to set the time you want to record.

It depends on what you want to record, something that happened or what is going to happen since what happened is with the guide button and "x"

11/17 is the latest update, this update removed Record From Now and also caused a problem with the message window, now while you type it moves around the screen multiple times, which might help if I'm trying to look at the screen, not in this case where
I'm trying to look at the message box and it's constantly lagging every time it repositions itself slowing the entire message process down.

ypu can stream on mixer then once your stream is over just wait for it to show in your past streams section then download it from there to edit
