how do i prevent my account from constantly getting locked

so asking this this question from an alternate email address but my main account has now been locked completly out 5 times in the span of maybe 6 months and im tired of the nothing you can do but wait answer. The same thing happens everytime i will get a text or email saying your account may have been comprimised, ok so i go and change the password and check sign in activities... usually is nothing and everything is fine. then i will go to re-sign in all my other devices and it will continually say im using the wrong password, i reconfim it is the right password by signing back into my phone. but it wont be accepted anywhere else. ok so i will change the password again. lets me sign in on that device i changed it, ok should work everywhere else then but no its says its still wrong and now my account is locked due to to many attempts. and i cant reset the password becuase ive requested to many codes. at this point they arnt even attempting to hack my email. just lock me out of it for 24 hours. this is a insane series of hoops i have to jump trough just because someone tried to log into my account?! so in short ive already change the name on the main email and changed the password many times why does this keep happening and why can i not seem to find one straight answer on how i can resolve this in a more timely manor than "oh well wait 24 hours and try again" when microsoft has made me tie this account into just about everything i own i get stuck with a bunch of expensive bricks for 24 hours because there isnt a better system?
