How do I prevent M-rated games to play through my Xbox account?

So, I am 14 and I'd like to know how to prevent restricted titles to work through my account. I tried to play GTA IV and it said "Cannot show, grab parent". If there's a way without adding a parent to play those type of titles, please reply. My friend is about 15 and has her own account with her exact age and she's able to play these games without a parent added or so.

Okay, thanks! But, even if I wanted to or not, should I wait till I'm 17 or older, due to the ratings for that exact age?

You will need to ask your parents to remove your content restrictions. Your friend can play these games because her parents allow her to play these games.

Do you know if your parents have content restrictions applied to your account?

The only way to play mature games without being on the age to do so is to ask for parental approval. No way around this, unfortunately.

Well, no because I made the account myself and I use my dad's, which he made with his own account. So, my parent doesn't have any restrictions
