    How do I play Sea of Thieves using only Windows 10 without using Xbox Live?




    1. I just purchased the game for PC so I could play with my brother who is using my Xbox live account, which is linked to the same Microsoft account I used to buy the game. Now I can’t seem to find any way to play the game ONLY using windows 10 without having
      to log into my XBL and log my brother out, yet people are saying I shouldn't need XBL to play on PC. What do I need to do to start a clean slate profile using only Windows 10, and if I can't, how do I go about getting a refund?

    Hi!

    Windows 10 games don't need to Xbox Live Gold to play online. Ont the other hand, Xbox Live Gold is needed to play online on Xbox.

    However, you can't play with each other if you both use the same account, even one is on Windows 10, and the other on Xbox.

    edit: Refunds can be requested by logging into https://www.xbox.com/refunds

    He doesnt need Xbox Live, and like was said above if you are using the same account, of course it gonna log out each time one of you log in with the same account.

    To share games and subscription like the "Home Console" feature to share between consoles, to be able in Windows10 PC's you need to add your brother to your Microsoft Group Family. If he have a Microsoft Account (if not create for him), then you go to Microsoft
    Family     and create a family group, and add him.

    To work, remember that he needs to have his account associated to the Windows10, this will make the Windows 10 Microsoft Store logged with his account, and also be sure that is logged with his account in Windows 10 Xbox App.

    Try it and let us know if you can now.

    Is your account an administrator acccount? How about your brother?

    Check the game’s properties and make sure its enabled for all users.
