    How do I permanently remove or uninstall XBox?


    How do I permanently remove XBox app? I tried googling and looking on my Microsoft help box but its still not clear how to remove it. Every time I open my laptop, I get advertisements from XBox filling up my screen. I don't ever remember asking for XBox.

    Please help.

It is very simple On Windows 10: Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of the screen and then select "Settings" (the gear icon). In the Settings window, click on the “Applications” option. The "Apps & Features" page will open. Scroll down until you find the "Xbox" entry in the list of installed apps. Click on the Xbox app and then select the "Uninstall" button. Follow the additional instructions that appear on the screen to confirm and complete the uninstall process. Best regards.

    On Windows 10:

    You can just right-click it and choose "Uninstall".

    Also, those ads can be triggered by a provider called "Suggested", that MS added in a Windows update a few weeks ago. If you go into your PC's settings and look at the list of apps that are allowed to send you notifications, see if there's one there called "Suggested" and if so, toggle the switch next to it so it's turned off. That was the cause in my case, but I haven't seen a single spam notification since turning that off.
