How do I open the ports needed for Xbox One?

I basically need a walk through here…

I don’t have a 3rd party router, but I know I how to access the webpage for it and where to go. BUT, I know nothing about global port range. Despite telling my isp, AT&T, exactly what ports to open and the protocols, they still are clueless; it’s as if it’s their first time touching a computer, makes me wanna rip my hair out.

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

Since the 360 uses the same first 4 ports, it would be nice to have that piggy back and running with a phenomenal connection again. I’ve had good luck using the forums previously, so I thought I’d use them again..

i would just have upnp enabled. it will cause you less issues.

i don't know of a single ISP that keeps upnp disabled because of that lame excuse.

See even in 2019, I was having major connection issues. Same model router from then. But after chatting with their tech support today, even then they said upnp is disabled so it won’t let virus’s and malware in so easily. Something like that; So they did a passthrough instead. Which opens all ports.

in this day and age it should not be needed to open the ports, most new routers use Upnp and 90% of the time this works fine.

if you do still want to go ahead we need to know the router model.

Yes and No according to Xbox the software for Cod Ghost on the One uses some other ports too. When you put a Xbox One in the DMZ it will open and close the ports only as needed so if a port needs open it will do so and then close it when not needed. The
way it was explained to me is that the One in a DMZ environment will manage it's ports on its own. But I understand some people do not want it in a DMZ so then Yes you would need to set port forwarding for all ports needed for Cod Ghost and Xbox Live.
