How do I open and play my new MSFS2020?

I pre ordered and received the new FS. I've downloaded it on a brand new Lenovo IdeaPad L340.

The download was a success. After spending a great deal of time trying to open and play the game

I decided to take it to Best Buy. I spoke to the manager of The Geek Squad. I was really shocked when

he told me it won't work at all on my laptop and that it would cost more than a thousand dollars to

upgrade. I've been very good customer of Microsoft over the years and this is very,very disturbing

if true. I want some answers before I request a refund.

I select play. Nothing happens at all. just the still picture.

Looking at the specs of your laptop, and the minimum specs needed for Flight Simulator, the game should work on your laptop. When you launch the game, do you get any error messages, or does it crash or take too long to load?
