How do I move Xbox Live (3 mth sub) from my account to sons?

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I am sorry about the situation and you won't be able to transfer the subscription to your son's account; However, there is a solution for this. What you can do is home share the console in which your son
games on using your account, we call this home sharing. When you are home sharing with someone, you are sharing your games (not the add-ons) and subscription; Therefore, the person benefiting from the home console feature doesn't necessarily need to have a
subscription of their own unless the subscription is different from the one you have on your account. All you need to do is log in with the account in which the subscription is active, and follow the instructions in the link you will find below to designate

There's no such thing as like a sub account. Your options would either be to let your son play on your account or create an account for your son as a child account (which will restrict how the account can be used)

should i just register the live account in his name then and cancel it from my name? i have registered him with an email address i just thought you could operate a family account? its going to get expensive when my 2 other kids also want xbox live accounts?

They remove Ambassadors after about 3 mths with no progress. you can be added if you PM XboxAmbassadors or Mister Fitzer. Usually, you would get an email with an explanation via the email address linked to your Xbox LIVE account
