How do I maximize my frames per second?

Just recently picked up the X1 Sunset bundle and I'm super stoked! I was wonder how I can maximize my FPS before jumping into the game.

I fear playing on a 65in screen will put a damper on the FPS. What settings should I set my TV to?

    :)

    Bad news about Watch Dogs...

    How am I lying?

My monitor refreshes 60 times per second.

I can lock frame rate to 30 frames per second via command console.

I can lock frame rate to 60 frames per second via command console.

I can see the difference between the game running at 30 fps and 60 fps.

You think my system is suffering from rate drops.

The frame rate tracker says my game is running at constant 30 fps when I lock it to 30.

The frame rate tracker says my game is running at constant 60 fps when I lock it to 60.

The frame rate tracker says my game is running at constant 299 fps when I don't lock the frame rate (it is unlocked by default).

The frame rate tracker disagrees with your hypothesis that my system is suffering from frame rate drops.

    Where is the lie?

Ok... so the maximum frame rate of the game is 60 frames per second. That's 60Hz. With 120Hz the display will render you the same frame twice per second. How does it make the picture any better? Response time of the display would be a more critical number
    to look at.

How do I maximize my frames per second?

Close left eye while leaving right eye open, now close right eye while leaving left eye open, repeat at up to 100 times per second.

Truthfully, the frames/sec are outputted from the console at a rate that can't be adjusted (I believe). Not sure if it matters what TV settings are.

You buy a console so you don't have to worry about FPS (unless you want to join in the *** at the devs for not getting it right in their opinion), if you really care about FPS then why buy a console?

If the question is what settings on your TV suit best. Look for game mode. Set to game mode and you will deal with the input lag. Some tvs the input lag is crazy. Not sure if this is what you are asking?

Size of the screen makes no difference, you could play on a 100" screen and it would still run at the same frame rate. There is literally nothing you can do to increase frames per second, it is what it is.

As for settings on your TV, if you have any setting called "Game Mode" then use that, it usually switches off any fancy effects that the TV would do (filtering etc) you wont gain any frames per second, but you will get less input lag (I never notice it anyway,
    but some people do)
