How do i make my microphone only output my voice?

I recenty bought a new headset with a mic called the HyperX Cloud Stinger. It plugs in through the 3.5mm headphone jack on the controller. I tested in a party with my brothers xbox and noticed that he also hears the audio of the sounds on my xbox like gaming
and moving between different tabs on the home menu. I tried the headset chat mixer and it lets me only output my voice by itself at the cost of not hearing my game sound. How do i fix this problem?

    :)

On the subject of switching the xbox 360 video output

    Okay, so here's the situation;

I got an HD PVR (Avermedia Game Capture HD) and almost everything works out so far. My problem is that the PVR can only record on the "component" output, but my xbox only plays on the "HDMI" output.
How do I make the video output switch from HDMI to component so that I can record with my PVR? Thanks in advance.

  3. Will there be an Astro Gaming adapter for the controller?

I don't think I am alone. I have an Astro Mixamp that I use with my 360 and PS3. I have spent a small fortune on headphone gaming and microphones. I really hope I can buy an adapter that will make the One controller output chat and microphone through my
Mixamp. This could be a deal breaker. I don't want my $850+ on headphone audio gear to go to waste.

    Hey there Chris118x,

Since this isn't an Official Microsoft Xbox One headset, we don't have a full list of troubleshooting steps to try, HyperX is going to be best to help out.

Do you also have the audio going through the TV as well as the headset? It's possible that the sound emitting from the TV is going through the headset as well.

    3.5 mm mic not working

What do you think to be my possibilities? I have read some stuff on the internet about the amount of rings etc. But it doesn't add up for me.

Just like in the picture, my 2.5 mm output only has 3 rings. So it's a TRS. In my understanding, TRS does not support audio and mic at the same time. The 3.5 output is a Trrs, so this one should allow it. But because of the 2.5 TRS output going into my headphone,
I reckon this to be the issue for not supporting the chat for through my Xbox One controller.

However, why does it work in my phone? It still a TRS 2.5mm output so it shouldn't support microphone, right? I have only tested the voice recorder on my phone, and not both listening and talking at the same time. Maybe that's why it worked on my phone?

Furthermore, is it possible to use an adapter for 2.5 mm TRS to 2.5 TRRS? Or would that not make any difference? Or will it work if I buy a 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable with a mic, with both outputs being TRRS? Would that be compatible with the Xbox one controller?
Cause if that works, I wouldn't understand why it works on my phone and not on my controller?

    Hope you could help!

    No friend's audio on clips

I found the "problem" apparently if I am in game chat and I make the clip it does not record the voices, but if I remove my microphone from the controller the clip records everything, including the voices of my friends, in any case I cannot play without
microphone, I think it's an audio problem, because I hear the volume of the game on TV and headphones but I only hear chat from the headphones, so what can I try in the settings?

How to record audio with Xbox Stereo Headset microphone with Windows 10

This sort of works. But it only works if:

    1. When I plug my Xbox headset into the microphone port on the back of my motherboard, which prompts a Realtek popup in the lower-right hand of the screen which prompts me to select what I plugged in: headphones, microphone, or line-in. I select "Microphone".

    2. I specify the Host in Audacity as MME.

Then I can record audio into Audacity. However, I can't listen through my Xbox headset because it's plugged into the microphone port and assigned as a microphone, not as an output device like a headphone.

So I still need to know how to use this Xbox Stereo headset to record Audacity and listen to my audio simultaneously.
