How do I make my account not a child account

I recently created an account for my new xbox and proceeded to install games on it. The games installed and I went to go onto COD:MW and got told that I had to have a parent account authorize me to play. How do I make it so that this is not the case?

The age of the account is based on the birthdate you entered when creating the account. This date cannot be changed. You would have to wait for the account to reach the age of 18 for you to be able to make it an adult account.

As long as your dad was able to configure your privacy settings, you can be able to join public servers or join friends.

Try signing out from the Minecraft launcher and sign back in again.

I got my dad to make family account and he made it so I have all the privileges but I still can't join any server

Hi Aston!

Please be advised that you cannot manually change your account from child to adult. Even if you changed it from https://account.microsoft.com website under "Your info" section, the system still recognizes the first date of birth that was entered upon the creation of your account. Since you're still 15, you need a guardian or a parent to manage your account. Please ask your parents to setup a Microsoft Family for them to change your account privacy settings.

You need to contact Microsoft and submit your ID card photo to prove you are an adult
