How do I make a working guest account on series X?

So you're saying that if I make more SeriesX-accounts these will be usable on 360-games as well? If so, why doesn't signing in with a guest account work similarly?

The guest account works the same, however, as soon as the guest signs out the account is removed from the console. Fine for a one off log on when say you visit a friend. But since your situation is perhaps more permanent, it needs a more permanent solution.
Hence why I recommend creating an account.

Note that there is no such thing as a 'Series X account'. Any Microsoft account with a Gamertag works on 360, Xbox One, Series X/S and a PC running Windows 10.

I think this is more a question of “how do I make a guest account on 360 backwards compatible games” since I have this issue with all my 360 games on xbox one so is there a way to add guest accounts on 360 games when playing on xbox one? because from my experience it’s not as easy as adding a guest account on xbox one

To play Gears of War 2 split screen on the Xbox Series X with a guest account, try the following steps:



1. Connect a second controller to your Xbox Series X.

2. Launch Gears of War 2.

3. Press the start button on the second controller to sign in as a guest account.

4. Once the guest account is signed in, press the start button on the first controller to start the game.

5. From the main menu, select "Campaign" or "Horde" mode.

6. Once you have selected your game mode, press the start button on the second controller to join the game as a split-screen player.



That's it! You should now be able to play Gears of War 2 split screen on your Xbox Series X with a guest account.

I've tried this now, but adding more accounts to the Series X does not help (the same as having guest-accounts signed in). Xbox 360 games do not appear to see these users and I'm unable to select them when adding players to 360-games.

So it appears I need a different solution. :/

I did yea straight back to how it was when I first got it. That’s what makes me think it’s something to do with my account on series x that’s stopping me accessing online gaming. I’ve tested multiplayer connection…changed alternate ports, still doesn’t work.
