How do I make a new XBL account when there is already one associated on my email?

Are you sure you used the same email address and password that is associated with that account? If an email address is already connected to an XBL account it will not allow you to make a new one.

now that i remember, changing gamertags shouldn't result in a loss of that icon when it was tied to same email between changes.... i didn't make a new account, i had the same one since 2002, was always in good standing, never been banned, suspended etc.......

i was at the time under [ Soul Survivor ] gamer tag but switched to this one some time ago between the 2 i always was on same email/Microsoft account.... i changed my email associated with my xbl account to a new one that's more to my liking few days ago

is their any hope/some1 at xbl i can restore my xbl beta icon? its not in my profile no more. do i have to call support

ere are the possible reasons why you are getting the message that the email address you wanted is already taken:

1.The desired Email is Already Associated with Another Microsoft Account.

2. The desired Email is Associated with a Previously Created Account.

3.The desired Email is Reserved or Inactive.

Since it has been detected by the system already that the desired email is already taken, I would highly suggest for you to use another email to be your alias or primary alias.

Kindly make sure that the new email shouldn't be associated to another Microsoft account and most importantly not associated with a previously Created Account. When you pass this part, you will surely be able to set up a new email address to your account.

You have to make sure your Origin email is the same as your Xbox Live Email. If you have an email associated with your Origin account that is different from your XBL account, then its not possible.

I had to create a new Origin account. They can change your XBL email to match your existing Origin account, but you loose all of your DLC and Gamerscore associated with your XBL. So I recommend having two Origin accounts instead. The lesser or two evils.
