How do I log in to my new Xbox Game Pass account?

If the game pass is on his account, then all he has to do is log in on the console, as game pass is attached to the account, not the console. If however, Game Pass is on your account, then you just need to log in on your son's console, and make it the Home Xbox. Instructions here on how to do it.

You will need to have the Game Pass Xbox as the secondary device with account holder as main account and the other user as second account. Then on the second Xbox, set this as the Home device with the other user as the main account and the account holder
as the second account.

You will need to be logged into the other Xbox but not necessarily the active account. Game Pass games will not be listed in the Game Pass section of My Games and Apps, but should be visible in the Game Pass tab.

All sorted, it's a simple process.

Turned on the new xbox series X and logged in via the Xbox phone app.

System then already new my account details.

1st screen on new Xbox was to click and accept 24months of game pass ultimate.

Now I check my Xbox account under subscriptions it says my next game pass payment will be in Dec 2024 so 24 months from now.

Its not limited to my account or my console. I go on the xbox website on my phone or pc and the same advertisements are still there. I log into my account and still tells me I can sign up for it. I do not have a game pass currently and there is no active
game pass on my console from any account.

You are right about the same account. You cannot log in on two Xbox One consoles at the same time using the same account. So for your kids to use the new console, it would be best to create an Xbox account each. That way they can play the games without using
some ones save.

As for game pass, with the account that already has it, log in on the new console, and make it the home Xbox. That would allow your kids to use the Xbox and the games without needing the account with game pass to log in. More info on the home Xbox here
