How do I launch a fire team mission

Okay so I'm in the tower I get my three fire team members and what do now how do I launch or start a game I get nowhere and then people leave can someone help me please

Fire team for missions

Maybe I missed something, but why can't they do the same thing they did for strikes, for the regular story missions. That is, when you click on it, it will group you with other people who are waiting to play that particular level?

For somebody like me, whom none of my friends have this game, I just can't play coop and that's frustrating.

Sorry if this has been posted before. I'm sure Bungie has their reasons, I just wish I had the opportunity to for quick matchmaking for the story missions.

I like how you can go from a fire team mission to an all out battle seamlessly with no loading times or choosing a type of gameplay and waiting in a lobby.

 

Well first you go to orbit like you always do, then you select a planet or whatever you plan on doing, then launch like you always do in single player. good luck and rate my help

 

So after I get my team in the tower leave the tower and go to orbit and pick the match and the team will come?

 

You don't even need to gather in the tower. You can invite people to join you in orbit, or even during activities. If you check your roster (press start, scroll left once), it should show who is currently in your fireteam. If you are in orbit, it will show
your fireteam members right below your name. If you are the fireteam leader, you will bring the whole fireteam with you to whatever activity you select.
