How do i know xbox one dvd region

How do i know my xbox's dvd region considering that i threw away the box a long time ago and i dont remember the region that was written on it , while i bought the xbox from Saudi Arabia im not sure that it wasnt imported from outside , is there anyway from the xbox itself or a serial number for example to know the region? Im planing on buying a fairly expensive dvd region 2 set and i wouldnt want it to be a waste.

your easiest way to check would be to just insert a desk from your home region and see what happens. all of this is done in software and set according to your physical location and your store settings

it would be on the label on the back

It would be Region 2 for DVD

You can't.The Xbox One isn't region free when it comes to blu-ray,dvd etc as far as i know.

It will only play region 1 dvd's i'm afraid.

Some Blu-ray discs and DVDs are not region-encoded or are coded to all regions. Region-free Blu-ray discs and DVDs will play on any Xbox One console.

Is this your first time trying to play DVDs on your console? Does the issue happen to all DVDs? How about your game discs?

Please note that some DVDs are region-locked and can only be played if your console region by hardware matches with the DVDs region.
