How do I know my game is running from my flash drive?

I've formatted my flash drive and installed my game to it. When I insert the disk and select to play that game I don't seem to see any significant decrease in load time. If I remove the disk during the game I gert a message to insert the disk. Does the
game disk need to stay in the drive while playing from the flash drive?

    Thanks for any advice!

    :)

    USB flash drive question

I have 2 USB drives plugged into my Xbox one is an 8G and a 32G. My hard drive is dead and Domt want to spend $100 on a new one. My question is I have Red Dead Redemrtion installed on the 32G drive and my saved games on my 8G drive. When I play the game
will it play from the install 32G and also read my saved games from the other 8G flash drive. They are both hooked up at the same time. How do I know if the game is running from the disc vs from the install. Thanks. Sean

Game not playing off usb drive

So i installed disc one on my HDD, and then I bought a flash drive to install disc 2 on it so it wouldnt run on my disc drive cause its makes so much noise. Its worked a few times where I dont hear the disc drive but most of the time its just running off
the disc drive :/ I have all my saves on the flash drive and I still dont know how to make it so it reads the game from the flash drive and not the disk drive. Someone help?

You won't notice much of a decrease in loading times/screens except for maybe a half second to a second, if that.

Yes you must have the disc in the system in order for it to play, you will know it is playing from the flash drive if you don't hear the disc spinning in your Xbox.

    Thanks Full Bass Drop!

I saw that it created a progress profile on the flash drive. Dummy me, that should have told me it was running off the flash drive! How do I know my game is running from my flash drive? :) I guess I should get in the habit of copying that profile to the console memory, so if the flash drive gets trashed
I can continue playing where I left off using the disk....

Actually there are one or two other things I'd like to ask. Is your system software up to date, could you try removing the hard drive from your console and try running the game from the USB flash drive.

How do things go if when you download the game you select to download it directly to the flash drive rather than the hard drive.
