How do I know if I'm buying digital or physical games for xbox in Windows Store on a pc?

So on the actual Xbox, clearly if I pre order a game I know its a digital version. When I am shopping for XBOX games on a pc through windows store how do I know what I am getting? Digital or physical? There isnt any real information letting me know what
it is. Anyone have a direct link to pre order digital versions of games of games for Xbox?

Are you able to purchase DIGITAL versions of games for Xbox through Windows PC?

If you're buying through microsoftstore.com you'd want to make sure the game is listed as a digital code. Otherwise it would be a physical disc.

If you buy through xbox.com or the Windows Store, it'll usually be digital unless it gives you an option for physical which is pretty noticeable.

It's strange what happened. Play Anywhere works on X1 and PC only with digital purchases and not with physical disc. There is also written explicitly on the
site: "when you own an Xbox Play Anywhere digital title, it's yours to play on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC". Try asking for a refund for the game and buying it in digital
version from the store.

 

From the Microsoft Store app, they will likely be digital and will be associated too your Microsoft account.

 

To ensure that you are buying digital games through windows store use directly the store app or through xbox.com (using the search bar). With this options for sure the game is digital.

The above link ensures that all games you buy will be disc, not digital.

The above link has a blue box on the left side that says "Shop Xbox Games" and a list under that that says "Xbox games (disc)

That is how you can tell what you are buying from the Microsoft store.
