How do I keep Xbox controller as active joystick in the background when receiving window is...

I used the wireless adapter to connect the the joystick to the PC, with that done all i needed to do was connect the headset to the controller and the windows would recognize it as Headset (Xbox360 wireless receiver for windows). But i contacted microsoft
support about the X1 headset and i was told that it will work fine as well, and i already ordered it. When it arrives i will report the result here.

It will keep automatically turning off after a few minutes of inactivity, even if you are charging it. The only way to keep it active is to press buttons periodically. I have heard of people putting something on the controller to push the joystick up or
to hold a button down to make the character keep walking or moving or jumping. This will keep the controller active, but if you try it, just be mindful that you don't cause any permanent damage to the controller.

Okay, I tested it. If I barely move the joystick, it won't do anything, but it's such a miniscule dead-zone, it's not really worth mentioning; no game would ever need to be that sensitive. The only reason it's there in the 1st place is because the bottom
plastic edge of the joysticks have to move down (as you push the joystick up, down, left, or right) to touch the sensor inside of the controller to activate the signal so that it knows you're moving the joystick - that's all; that would be true for ANY controller.

Just so I understand you correctly:

What you are trying to do is to have the controller send a button press when you move the Joystick?

As for example, when you push up on the joystick you press A, when you press down on the joystick the controller sends button B, and left and right will be LB RB for example?

If so, then I'm afraid this is not possible.

You can however try to build a similar setup, so that an arcade stick gets wired to 3.5mm jacks that you plug into the A, B, X, Y, LB, RB inputs on the adaptive controller.

Joysticks arent meant for fps games

You do need.dual analogue sticks for most games

Mainly playing enlisted which is infantry units with also tank and plane units , it’s made by the same devs as war thunder and I wanted to use the joystick to fly the plane units then switch back to the controller when I spawn infantry or tank units.

With multiple spawns per battle using the co pilot feature to use the controller and joystick on the same account will be perfect.

I can’t understand why the joystick buttons work on the dashboard but isn’t recognised when I try to activate the co pilot feature.

If it works and I can sign in and navigate the menus with it why isn’t it visible in the menus.
