    How do i keep game saves when needing to delete game for re-install


    I have a game (elite dangerous) i need to delete and re install but i dont want to lose my game save. However under manage game it seems to only give me the option to delete all. Is there a way i can delete one but not the other. I was thinking of sticking
    the save in the cloud and collecting it after reinstall but i dont know how to do this if its possible of course. Any help apreciated thank you.

    Noob questions about save files

    So I keep reading that my saves get uploaded to a cloud.

    So does that mean when I delete a game from "my games and apps",
    1) I will have to re-install the game but I'll always have my saves?

    2) Is this automatic with a new Xbox One, or do I have to do this in the settings?

    3) Also, do I have a limit for cloud storage?

    yeah you can upload your save info to the cloud or just keep the file and then delete the install file.

    If you are connected to Xbox Live, save games automatically save on both your harddrive and the cloud. When reinstalling the game and launching it you will be prompted to download the cloud save data

    If you are connected to Xbox Live, save games automatically save on both your harddrive and the cloud. When reinstalling the game and launching it you will be prompted to download the cloud save data

    But,can I go back to an earlier save. Like when i turned in the Mission? Like move the game to a USB Stick and use a program to go to a "Specific Save" Point. Like when I turned a mission in. Then delete everything after that. Then re-load the game. There
    are programs that do that. But has anyone ever done it for what I want.

    Most that do it. Lost their saves. Then used software to recover their Saves,thus their Game. HDD's don't erase anyways. Except when reformatting. They then move the game from their stick to pc. then use software to open the Xbox files the find the save
    they want. Then re-install from their.

    Looks like an installation bug issue. Have you tried deleting the game (not your game save but the actual game itself) and re-downloading it? To do that just go into your Settings (on console dashboard), then System, then Storage (choose the apropriate device
    the game is saved on), then click on Games and Apps, and finally delete the game itself (the one that weighs 114MB). Afterwards go back on the marketplace and re-download it. And don't worry it won't charge you to re-download it nor will it delete your game
    save unless you delete that partition as well.
