How Do I Interpret The Confusing Known Issue Info for Shadow of the Tomb Raider? Please Help!

Okay, forget for a second that when I paid extra for the Digital Deluxe Pre-Order version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, just so I could play the game two days early, that the date listed in the Xbox Store (on my XB1-X) was, and still is September 11, 2018
at 8pm. Forget for a second that the game wouldn't start at the advertised time, and forget as well that every time I tried to call XB Support, their automated system would hand up on me. Forget all that for just a moment and please, for the love of Mike,
help me understand how to interpret the ridiculously confusing Web site that the MS support page sends you to for this known issue.

There is a link in this known issue section of the support page that's supposed to use my location and time zone to calculate the actual activation time/date (verses the date they advertised and the date and time I paid extra for). But even that is confusing.
The advertised early release date that's still listed in the XB Store is September 11 at 8pm. However, the only two links for calculating the difference between UDT and EDT are for 9/12/18 and 9/14/18. There is no link for the advertised date of 9/11/18 8pm.

Since the 12th is the closest to what I paid for, I clicked on that, which is where things really get confusing. The page the link sends me to has a number of sections: "Result: 9pm EDT September 11." The next section says "Time Difference from now: 4 minutes
11 seconds." Then "Time Offset: +4 hours." Then there are two clocks: one displays 1am UDT on 9/12/18 and the other is labeled w/ my location and shows the time as 9m on 9/11/18. And then finally there's a section that says "Time to Midnight: 3 hours."

I finally got through to a live person by selecting a completely different department on the automated phone system, and refusing to hang up until that person transferred me to a live person in XB Support. That person pulled up the same site and she told
me that her interpretation of the conversion was five hours from now.

Just based on the what I described above, can anyone give me a read on what sectio9n of the page I should focus on, and, if that's different than what the XB rep told me, which should I go with?

It irritates me to no end to pay for something just to hear XB/MS pretty much say, oops, so sad too bad. We'll take your money but we're under no obligation to give you what you paid for. I get that things happen, but how hard would it have been to send
an XB Live message to all customers who bought the Digital and Croft editions of this game, so we could decide whether we wanted to cancel the order and just wait for the regular release date? At the very least, so we wouldn't have to waste time just trying
to figure this thing out.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider issue

Yea this whole thing is confusing/upsetting alot of people, they need to compensate depending on how much longer its gonna take to fix.

I did finally get an update in my topic btw :

This is a known issue with new console bundles that come with Shadow of the tomb raider. Currently the code is redeemable, but the license does not activate until January of 2019. This is something that we are working on internally and should be fixed soon.
Although, there is no estimated time frame on that.

I recently bought an xbox one x and tomb raider bundle, i used the code today 10/16/18 to download the game and when it was finished for some reason it still says that the game is pre ordered. the release of shadow of the tomb raider was over a month
ago. Not sure why this is happening but any help would be appreciated

 

Yikes...sounds like you went down quite the rabbit hole. Early release still sounds like an idea that works better on paper than in practice. For what it's worth, based on what you described above I feel that the best information to follow along with would
be that from the representative.
