How do I hook up my turtle beach headset without having to go thru the controller?

I have Turtle beach X42. I connect it to my console via optical port. The only thing not wireless about it is the chat cable that needs to be plugged in. But it does produce good Dolby 5.1 surround sound. I know turtle beach does some headsets which are
completely wireless involving a Bluetooth dongle.

Does Turtle beach offer a mono speaker headset to just hear teammates chat- like a Bluetooth cellphone headset or can use the stereo headset adapter and hook up a 360 wireless headset via a 3.5 mm cable? I just want a headset to go over one ear and connect
to the headset adapter to get chat. I have a surround system and will not use a pilot style stero headset like turtle beach offers. So if anyone knows how to hook up a Bluetooth headset with a cable to the stereo headset adapter or a way to make the 360
wireless headset work with the 360 controller via some cable of appreciate it. I can't hook up anything to the optical output on my console since I hsve hdmi going to my reliever for surround. I just want chat via some way other than Turtle beach massive
headphones when I have better surround sound system snd receiver,

I use the Astro A50's and they are a great wireless headset. There are plenty of other options that connect to the Xbox without going thru the controller. I have used various ones from turtle beach (good sound). Razer has some that people highly recommend
that also connect to the controller.

Hey all - my genius "FIX" so far is to use Ventrillo/Teamspeak over my PC/Laptop for chat. If you already use your turtle beaches for PC gaming then you understand how to do this.

If you have a bluetooth enabled headset and computer, then you can easily set this up (you just pair your headset to your pc/laptop then use the appropriate audio settings in vent/ts).

MY setup is kind of weird because I have the x41's without bluetooth, so i'm sending CHAT audio OUT from the turtle beach (using a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor) to the MIC IN on my laptop, and then half shoving an earbud into my ear underneath my turtle beaches
for the INCOMING chat sound hooked up to the AUDIO OUT on my laptop.

PRO FIX I THINK - obviously microsoft should fix their end. But I still feel special, and MUCH better than trying to cram the xbox chat headset on the same ear as the turtle beach.
