    so my problem is i have xbox on my hdmi 2 and windows on hdmi 1 i want to listen to both at the same time with a headset there is a headphone jack at the back of my monitor and it only works for one hdmi source at a time. my problem is that i need to use discord on hdmi 1 and xbox on hdmi 2 since i do not have a controller

    Hi Alano. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

    The equipment required to do this would cost more than just buying a controller and using Discord on your Xbox. Depending on which Xbox you have, you'd need a HDMI audio splitter to extract the audio from the Xbox's HDMI signal, then an audio interface which can accept that audio and output it to your headset while connected to your PC via USB, outputting the PC audio at the same time. This could cost around $150-$300. In my opinion, your best option is simply buying an new controller, it'd be much cheaper and requires less hassle.

    I have my xbox connected to a pc monitor as well and I had to take a look intitially at which port as it has more than one hdmi input. Once I went to the settings on the monitor and switched from hdmi 1 to hdmi 2 it was fine.

    [/quote]ok from what i can gather, Monitor out HDMI, connect to your TV.

    Put your xbox in either of the others, should work.

    Just make sure the TV is on the HDMI channel, and the amp is on what ever one you connected too (video or dvd).

    How do you set up Xbox one S to a PC?

    Hello, Chuck.

    You have 2 ways of doing this.

    1 - You can stream through the Xbox App for Windows, just log in on the xbox app with the same account you have on your xbox and use the streaming feature and it`s all done.

    2 - You can connect your xbox one on your PC monitor by using a HDMI cable. If there is no HDMI input on your monitor you can use an HDMI/DIV or HDMI/VGA adapter to connect the xbox to it.

    Connecting Xbox 360 Elite to PC Monitor (Black Screen)

    1 - I've got 3 monitors at home and they are all the same model, and they aren't able to display my Xbox 360's images.

    2 - I'm using a cable that's HDMI on one side and DVI on the other. According to the vendor I've bought it from, it works fine for connecting the Xbox 360 to any monitor (apparently he's already tried it out).

    3 - Yesterday I've bought a cable that's AV on one side (for the Xbox) and VGA + an Audio output on the other. I've tried it out and it works just fine. Yet, the image seems just a bit blurry and, from what I've been told, VGA has a lower quality output
    than HDMI/DVI so this is to be expected.

    I've also learned how to plug both AV and HDMI cables in my Xbox at a time. Every time I've got ONLY the VGA cable connected to the Xbox, I can see the images on my Monitor/TV. Whenever I plug the HDMI cable to the Xbox (w/ the AV cable plugged), the image
    on my Monitor/TV disappears. It seems as if the Xbox is prioritizing the HDMI video output over the AV one.

    So, I was wondering, is there any way I could plug the AV cable to my TV and the HDMI cable to my Monitor while at least one of them displays an image? That way, I could turn on the TV and alter the display options in the Xbox for my monitor till it works.
