How do I go about buying an external hard drive for the xbox one?

Rather than using a hub I'm going this route...

Gives you plenty of options as far as drive types, can clone drives when you upgrade, it's powered so not robbing juice from your One , using internal drives in cheaper and since they aren't enclosed will run cooler.

I use a Seagate Expansion 2tb usb 3.0 (connected to the back usb 3.0 on the XBOX ONE). 5200 rpm usb powered

I love it. Much faster and quiet!!

Yep and the cheaper the better. One of the gaming websites did a comparison of the different types ( 5400 rpm, 7200 rpm and SSD) The additional cost of the faster drives wasn't worth the small performance increase you'd see.

Dilbert88 that is perfect. You can't beat that price. Maybe look around once more just maybe you can get it for 10 bucks cheaper or free shipping and handling. You and everyone else looking or opening a external HDD should look for black Friday and cyber
Monday deals on a USB 3.0 HUB. 4 TO 5 MORE SUB 3.0 SLOTS are going to be necessary in the years to come. Remember the XONE goes up to 16 tb externally I believe.

Anyone find a usb 3.0 hub for a good price come on here and spread the word... word
