How do I give my xbox account to someone?

I have been trying to hand this account over all morning. There does not seem to be a way to seperate my hotmail/bing/skype account from my xbox. Support was unable to help. How do people do it?

how do I give permission to my child?

Have the child log in on the website, then go to My Account and then Family, Forums and Privacy and then Xbox 360 Online Settings. Change whatever needs to be changed, press Save and you should be prompted to confirm by signing in as the parental account.

Both of you have to be logged in on Xbox.com and then you can give her permission.

You can't. Selling, lending, sharing, etc. of accounts is a violation of the terms of service.

All Xbox Accounts are Microsoft Accounts. If you have used your primary account as your Xbox Live account, there really isn't anything that you can do. Also, selling or lending your accounts is a direct violation of Xbox Live's Terms Of Service and would
recommend you to avoid doing that.

The best way to gift credit to other members is to just send them a redeem code via message across the service. I send codes to the kids at my place as part of pocket money sometimes.

If you send a message containing nothing but the code, there's a cool feature on 360 and X1 now that gives the recipient an option to redeem the code directly from that message. So they don't have to enter the 25 digits themselves.

If you add words to the message though, that feature doesn't seem to work. =|
