How do I get xbox one x to play dvds

I can’t get xbox one x to play DVDs. Have tried all the troubleshooting I’ve found. Changing the country format of the DVD is preposterous.

After reinserting the disc a few times it finally worked. Hopefully that will be the case for the rest of our DVDs as we have hundreds. Thank you for the assistance Rostom.

Is this your first time trying to play DVDs on your console? Does the issue happen to all DVDs? How about your game discs?

Please note that some DVDs are region-locked and can only be played if your console region by hardware matches with the DVDs region.

Thanks for trying. I appreciate your effort. Since you've tried to factory reset it and got the same issue, it's possible that your console can no longer read DVDs. To further isolate it, try to test your DVDs on a different consoles if you could find one from a friend or family member.

Got it. What just happens when you insert a DVD? Blue-ray is already installed?

Same thing. “We’re having trouble reading this. Make sure it’s a Blu-ray or DVD. If it’s a game, launch it from your games and apps instead. (0x91d70000)”
