If the game is brand new, it should've included an online pass in the game case along with the manual. If the game is used, you'd have to purchase one through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. However, Aussie Michael brings up a good point: EA games announced that
it may be discontinuing online passes for both newer and older games. If I were you, I'd wait until further notice or contact EA support. Hope this helps!

It says connect to xbox network but I can’t
