How do i get the Xbox app on my PC to download at the speeds Task Manager shows?

@(Farscape) is right. There's a huge difference between your wireless connection speed is typically different from your downloads speed. You can determine the later at speedtest.com or fast.com.

that speed in task manager will be your connection speed to your router, not your actual broadband speed.

go to speedtest.net and check your connection speed to the internet.

I've altered my DNS settings to the Google Public ones and even restarted my PC (just to be sure) with nothing but a browser and the Xbox App open. Sadly, It doesn't seem this has had much of an effect on the download speed, although it's fluctuating harshly.
It bounces around from a few Kbs to 3.3Mbs. I'm starting to believe the fluctuation is just what happens with downloading from the app. The changes have certainly improved my download drastically, though I'm still worried about the rapid changes in speed.

As a sidenote, I've seen that since I started downloading from the app, it seems to be slowing my entire PC down/making it freeze. Is this another byproduct of the download? Or is it something else? I leave Task Manager open on another monitor to see how my
PC is doing at all times and it never shows anything out of the ordinary, no spikes, no 100%, nothing.

Any idea on what that could be?

Xbox app does not show up here either. Weirdly enough, the Xbox app is showing up in task manager now, but I still can't do anything to it.

That did not help, as it was already something i tried when i was originally looking for a way to solve this issue. What i have attached are two screenshots that show the disconnect between the two download speeds, where the store says it is much faster while the xbox app says its much slower. Which leads me to believe this is a problem with the Xbox app in general and not something related to my PC.

Not only this but when i look at task manager to see what exactly my download speed should be in the performance tab its hovering around 40MBps, which is what the store is showing the download speed is at, which just furthers my belief this is something to do with the Xbox app.
