How do I get the Vanguard pre-order gear?

I pre-ordered Destiny. XBOX shows the Vanguard armory is downloaded and installed. However when I visit the quartermaster all the gear is showing level 20 requirement and not free.

Ideas?

You can get the Vanguard armory stuff eventually the pre-order bonus is only early access.

I pre-order (pre-purchased) destiny and i cannot find my Vanguard stuff

 

The guy you have to go see is in the ship hangar. Not the guys standing around the table. It should be available at level 5 but you still have to buy it.

 

Ahhh So head towards the ship guy. Gotcha! I spent too much time last night trying to figure it out.

Where is he? I don't see him. I see the guy you buy vangaurd weapons from. But no guy that sells armor.

 

The only armor I have seen is a helmet, so I think that is all he carries. You can also go back to get better gear as you level up.

 

The vaguard armory is a handful of weapons and a single helmet that is class specific. At least as far as the DLC is concerned

 

Ok, nothing really worth getting then.
