How do I get the right support?

If you’re having problems with your game, here’s how to know whether you should contact Xbox or the Game Developer.

There are two kinds of game issues:

• Within the game: This includes in-game bugs and error codes, purchasing content from an in-game store, or gameplay problems. This usually only affects one specific game. For game issues that occur in-game, check out the Game Developer’s Support Articles.
  
• Outside the game: This includes trouble with purchasing a game or add-ons from the Microsoft Store, launching a game, and 0x8 error codes. The issue usually occurs across multiple games instead of just one. For issues that occur outside the game, check out the Xbox Support troubleshooting pages.
  

On the Xbox Support site, you can find many game troubleshooting articles based on platform:

If the developer you're trying to contact isn't listed above, look for their info in the Microsoft Store on your Xbox console or Windows device, or on Xbox.com.

Find the page of the game you are experience issues with on Xbox.com or the Microsoft Store App.

• On Xbox.com click More > Scroll down and under Additional Info > find Publisher info
  
• On Windows 10, Scroll to the bottom of the page and Under Additional information Info > find Publisher info
  
• On Windows 11, Scroll down to Additional information > find Publisher info.
