    How do i get surround sound working for xbox one


    Sorry if this question has been answered but there is so many solutions i don't know which will work.

    Explain my problem:

    My problem is I bought a gaming monitor that doesn't have internal speakers and thought of nothing about it until hooking the xbox one up.

    So I have connected the hdmi cable to the gaming monitor to the hdmi input port to my xbox one. So my problem is the sound how to connect
    logictech x530 speakers to the xbox.

    Could you please provide a step by step guide solution on sorting because I am not tech savy or provide links or videos to this problem.

    Those are computer speakers, and will not work with it. I assume its a bunch of 3.5mm jacks as usual. You can get an HDMI-RCA adapter then adapt that to 3.5mm, but thats only going to give you stereo. Beyond that you’re going to have to buy a real sound
    system, or pass the audio through a PC

    I just read this:

    So how is there surround sound for this but not both Dolby Digital and DTS for Blu-ray and gaming? Since the xbox auto updates, how will I know when an update that adds surround sound and 3D for Blu-ray and gaming is downloaded?

    Update. I do not get surround sound on any games either. So the surround sound only works on DVD/ bluray. Any ideas?
