    How do I get rdr2 to load on Xbox one s


    Brand new rdr2 disc suddenly stopped working and has caused complications with a recently bought second hand Xbox One S.

    I bought a brand new disc copy of red dead Redemption 2 a bit over a week ago for my Xbox one s. It worked almost perfectly for the first couple days, it froze every now and then during cut scenes but never crashed or was buggy beside that. I just chalked it up to my Xbox being a bit slow because I very recently bought it second hand.

    But a couple days ago it kept getting stuck on the last loading screen where all the pictures come up, and it'd never get past that. The day after that it never got past the first loading screen to even enter the main menu. I then deleted all save files along with the game, reinstalled it all and it worked for the rest of the night. This morning my Xbox wouldn't even start, gave me system error E102 and E106, I did an offline system update and that fixed it and after deleting and re downloading rdr2 again I'm still stuck on the first loading screen with no idea on what to do next.

    Does anyone have any ideas on what the issue is or how I can fix it?

    I have RDR2 on Xbox One S.. I play it on a 1080 and mine looks amazing.. You might have to check the tv settings..

    My problem is that the game is really slow and that's why it's not fun at all, but I remember that the game was smoother on the ps4 version. It seems that ray tracing is active in the game and that's why the game runs slowly, but there is no such option in the settings.

    Not sure where you've got that information from. There is no Ray Tracing in RDR2, it's not been optimised for Series X|S either. It was only developed to take advantage of the now older Xbox One X. The Series X runs the One X version of the game, but it's still only 30fps though.

    If you've been playing lots of smooth 60fps games and then load up RDR2 it's bound to feel slow in comparison.
