    How do I get past the "Making things awesome" window hanging when I try to install the Xbox...


    I've seen others post a similar problem. I'm on the latest Windows 10 insider build (20206) and I just tried to install the Xbox Beta and it just hands at the "Making things awesome" window.

    How do I get past the "Making things awesome" window hanging when I try to install the Xbox Beta app?

    The Xbox beta app is currently having issues. Xbox support are aware and are working on a fix.

    Xbox Game Pass for PC Installer doesn't work error

    The Xbox Game Pass for PC installer is not working.

    All I get is hanging at 'making things awesome...' for 10 minutes, followed by error 0x80244022

    My PC exceeds the requirements and Windows 10 version is higher than the minimum recommended.

    I've seen many posts with similar issues, and no definitive fixes appear forthcoming before the threads get locked.

    Can't play any Xbox Game Pass games on PC

    I still have this issue months later. I start the installer and it just hangs. Shows a background pic of sea of thieves and says making things awesome and never moves. I can install other things just fine.

    Xbox (Beta) Installer Frozen at installer

    I upgraded to Windows 1903 (build 18362.175) and downloaded the xbox installer for pc game pass. When I run the installer it sticks
    on "making things awesome." The thermometer doesn't budge from zero. I have downloaded new copies of the installer several times, restarted my PC many tmes, but still can't get it to install.

    When I follow the instructions you give, I see the roaming folder but there is no xbox entry at all.

    The Task Manager reports that I'm trying to install the 32 bit version, which seems wrong.

    Any suggestions?
