    I recently installed windows 10 and noticed there is some xbox integration now. I'd like to use my old gamertag that has all my achievements and all the stuff I bought. But this was years and years ago and I don't even have the xbox anymore. Surely there
    must be a way to reactivate my account without knowing the information. I know the gamertag, and I did buy stuff on there all the time so they know who it belongs too. That account is so old I've changed credit cards at least 3 times since then, I remember
    because once Microsoft tried to send me a bill for a Live subscription on a card that had expired when I didn't even have an xbox anymore. And since I paid for stuff on there I'm pretty sure it's illegal to just go "no, you don't remember some old email and
    password from years ago so you can't have what you bought anymore". I shouldn't even have to remember my gamertag, I have a real name, a social security number and a passport, but somehow these things are not good enough? They're good enough for the rest of
    the world, why not for Microsoft? Anyway, I want my old Xbox account merged with this account, I'll be more than happy to provide proof of my identity, real life identity that is. So how do I fix this? I live in Norway by the way if that matters.

    To be a bit more specific how do i make my current gamertag an xbox live gamertag?

    Note: I have an account on the xbox one but want to carry over my gamertag from the 360 to the one.

    how do i get my old xbox gamertag to register with my new email address but my old xbox tag's email address is deleted and this xbox tag is registered to my new one

    ok. on my old email address is where the xbox account is i want. but i have deleted that email address :l my new email address is the one registered to this xbox gamertag. how do i get my old gamertag to my new email address? as i can figure out how

    How do I get my old gamertag back?

    Your old Gamertag should be blocked for 30 days after the change.

    So do not tell anyone about it and remember the date to change it back.

    Hopefully it wasn't an old Gt with more than 12 characters, cause it's impossible to get those old Gts back.

    As mentioned above, I think you will not get a refund cause it's your responsebility, to take care of your account !

    whatever happens on your account is your responsibility, does not matter who did it. get your friend to pay up and then hope your old tag has not been taken.

    I apologize, but the only way to get your old gamertag back is to pay another $10 to change it again. Unfortunately, if someone else has already claimed your original gamertag, you may not be able to get it back unless the person is willing to release it and let you claim it on your account. However, if no one has taken your original gamertag, you can claim it again as long as it follows the Xbox Code of Conduct.

    You can try submitting a refund for the charge made by your friend by filling out the Manual Refund Webform at this link: https://support.xbox.com/forms/request-a-refund. You can find the order number of your transaction by signing in to your email at this link: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders/.

    not anymore it aint, you can change the tag and immediately use that old tag on a new account, if you go to change your name and check to see if a tag is available but are trying to make your mind up then it locks the tag from others for about 2 hours then it can be selected by anyone again.
