How do I get my FREE Xbox 360 game on my Xbox one console?

If you're on a child account, you would need to download the game from a 360 console. otherwise, make sure you have a payment method (credit card/Paypal) on file.

My account on my xbox one is a child account too and I am having the same problem. I have an xbox one with xbox gold subscription. I do not have access to an xbox 360 so how can I get the free xbox 360 games with gold on my xbox one? I don't have any problem
getting the xbox one games, just the backward compatible 360 games. the message tells me to complete the transaction on my xbox regardless of whether I am on my xbox already or on xbox.com on my laptop. Help please! we want the 'free' games that we payed our
subscription fees for!

ok, say i buy a used xbox 360. i can get a free/paid avatar prop with it and transfer it to my xbox one, right? how would i do this? i assume the xbox 360 would have to be connected to the internet which means i'd have to disconnect my xbox one from the
internet and connect the 360 to the 'net. after i get the prop onto the 360 how do i get it onto the xbox one? also, during transfer do the 360 and xbox one both need to be connected to the 'net or just one or the other? not sure if i'd be able to have 2 consoles
connected to the internet at the same time.

It's because of a technical issue that was introduced when Microsoft changed payments from Microsoft Points to "real world currency".

Since several years ago, you are unable to get Xbox 360 games on the Website (and later Xbox One, as the Xbox One uses the store website as backend) with prepaid money on your account.

If you do have a real Xbox 360 console, you can get the games for free without a credit card still.

Either use your own old Xbox 360 console to get the free games, or visit a friend who still has a working Xbox 360 console.

If you don't have access to a Xbox 360 console, there is no way around adding a valid payment option like a Credit Card or PayPal to your account and then "paying" the price of 0.00 for the free game.

Hello Everyone! I've just purchased an Xbox One and I have a 360 too. My question is: how do I get DLC for free from 360 to my One? Because I read on Ubisoft I could do that, if I had a 360, but they don't teach how. Thank you!
